Our Puppy Process

We are a small, intentional breeding program, raising only a couple of litters each year. Our puppies are in high demand, and we do not breed to meet that demand. Instead, we focus on raising healthy, well-socialized puppies and placing each one in a home that is the right fit.

Because we have a limited number of puppies available, we are fortunate to be very selective about the families we work with. We truly appreciate your understanding and respect for our process.

Before reaching out or submitting an application, please take the time to read this page and our Puppy Information page in their entirety. We have included as much information as possible to answer the questions we receive most often.

If you still have questions after reviewing both pages, we are happy to help. Please email us at flairlabradors@gmail.com.

How the Waiting List Works

Apply for the Waiting List

When we have a litter planned, we review applications and pre-approve families who meet our standards and share our values.  Approved families are added to our private waiting list. There is no cost to join the waiting list. Being on our waiting list does not guarantee that you will receive a puppy. It simply means that you will be considered for future litters and will be contacted when a litter becomes available.

When a Litter Is Confirmed

Once a pregnancy is confirmed by ultrasound, we will email everyone on our waiting list to let you know about the upcoming litter.  If you are interested in that particular litter, you will need to reply to the text or email and confirm your interest. Only families who confirm their interest in that litter will continue to be considered and contacted when the puppies are born.

When Puppies Are Born

Once the puppies arrive, we will know how many males and females are available, along with other important details (such as tentative pickup date). At that time, we will select families for the available puppies from the group of families who have confirmed their interest in that litter.

Selections are based on lifestyle, goals, and overall fit for the type of puppies that we are expecting from that litter. We do take wait time into consideration when selecting familes, but it is not the only consideration. In other words, selections are not made on a "first come, first served" basis.  Our goal is always to make the best possible match.

If you are selected to receive a puppy from that litter, a $500 deposit will be required to hold your spot.

Puppy Placement at 7 Weeks

Individual puppy matches are announced when the puppies are 7 weeks old. We place each puppy responsibly, considering lifestyle, energy level, temperament, physical traits, and the family’s goals.

Please note:  we do not allow buyers to pick their own puppy

If, for some reason, a family is not happy with their match, their deposit will be refunded and we will select another person for that puppy.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse sale of a puppy to any individual for any reason, at any time, without obligation to provide a detailed explanation. In the event that a down payment has been made and we subsequently decide not to proceed with the placement, the full amount of the down payment will be refunded.

Puppy Pickup Between 8-10 Weeks

Puppies go to their new homes between 8-10 weeks old.  The remaining balance is due at time of pickup.  Our puppies cost $3,500 to new families & $3,000 to repeat families.

Families who are inactive or no longer wish to participate, will be notified and removed from the list.  We encourage families to consider other reputable breeders, rather than relying solely on our program, if they are looking to meet a specific timeline.  This system allows us to keep our program manageable and ethical, maintain realistic expectations, focus our time and energy on raising each litter well, and make careful, unhurried placement decisions.
