Prairie is the class clown. She has the most entertaining personality of any dog I've met. Anyone who walks through our front door will be greeted by a red tornado with a tail wagging at 200 rpm and at least one toy, blanket, sock, or pillow, stuffed in her mouth.

​Prairie loves to be close and is the type to follow you around the house (even to the bathroom... there is no such thing as privacy in Prairie's world). Her sweet expression and sad, burnt-sugar-colored  eyes make it hard to tell her "no". She pretends to be big and tough, but deep down she's a weenie and never wins a wrestling match with her sisters. She is also a tattle tale and will alert the humans if another dog has hurt her feelings. 

Prairie is usually doing something goofy or mischievous and loves it when people laugh at her. On rare occasions where she does leave my side, you never know what random object, giant stick, or rotten carcass she is going to come back with (and she will deliver it to your hand, wagging with so much happiness that you can't bring yourself to decline her "gift").

Aside from being a complete clown, Prairie has some impressive talents. It amazed me that as an 8 week old puppy, she jumped into the lake and swam like a fish right behind the big dogs with NO hesitation. I had never seen anything like it. She is made for the water and is a wild swimming pup! Now as an adult, if she sees a body of water (no matter how gross), you can bet she will be in it faster than you can say "no".  There's only one Prairie Pup on this planet and she fills our life with so much love and laughter!
