Good things come to those who wait!
In each litter, there are usually 1 or 2 outstanding prospects which we will keep in hopes of adding to our breeding program. The rest of our puppies are placed with loving pet homes. We keep a waiting list of approved homes for the puppies that we decide not to retain for our breeding program. If you would like to be considered for our waiting list, please call/text/email to start a conversation, and fill out our "waiting list application"! We screen each potential family to make sure they are a good fit for one of our pups. If you are approved, you will be given the opportunity to place a deposit.
Dogs are a commitment of time and money. That is why we require a small portion of the purchase price up front as a deposit. We very rarely have a puppy available "asap" since our puppies are usually spoken for before they're born. We do not view the wait time as a negative thing, since it eliminates those "impulse buyers".
Placing a deposit indicates that you are committed to being a loving home for one of our puppies. When our waiting list is full, we have to turn away several good puppy homes. Refunding deposits when people change their mind--or find another breeder with a puppy ready "sooner"--negates the purpose of our waiting list (which is to make sure each of our pups has a perfect home by the time they are ready to go). Because of this, a 10% fee will apply to any and all refunds on deposits placed after 1/1/2023. We reserve the right to refuse to sell a puppy to anyone at any time.

In order to be fair to everyone, our waiting list is kept in chronological order by date the deposit was received. Shortly after a litter is born and we know how many puppies we will have available, the first few names on the waiting list will be contacted and given the opportunity to reserve a spot in that litter. If one of them decides to "pass"/wait for the next litter (or does not answer within 3 days), then the next person on the list will be given the opportunity to reserve a spot in that litter. When the puppies are 7-8 weeks old, puppy placements will be made. We place puppies in their most suitable homes based on their temperaments, personalities, quirks, and energy levels (typically not cosmetic things). More about the selection process on our puppy information page. Thanks for understanding!
